"Home Mode" Terminology Changed

"Home Mode" has been changed to "Security Off" to avoid confusion with the terminology of other security systems where "Home Mode" refers to a partly armed mode like "Night Mode". "Security Off" is unambiguous and more easily understood by customers.

Arm After Exit Delay

Another Arming method has been introduced; Arm after exit delay, in addition to Final Door arming. This is for installations where it is not convenient to install an Entry Door contact, e.g. for old installations. To previous page

16 User Codes

The number of User Codes has been increased from 8 to 16. The first 8 codes have mailboxes for Voicemail, while users 9 to 16 do not have mailboxes. This means that callers cannot leave messages for them. This is applicable to commercial and industrial priority

User Authorization

User Authorization for Local Arm, Local Disarm, Remote Arm, Remote Disarm, Security Functions, Home Control are applicable individually for all 16 users. In addition, there is an authorization for Disarm after Alarm, which will be useful for Security Guard applications. To previous page

24 Zone System

The new 16 zone expansion board together with the 8 zones and 8 outputs on the main board provides system capacity of 24 zones and 8 outputs.

Sign In Tamper

6 consecutive attempts to sign in either locally or remotely will cause a "Sign-in Tamper" alarm (Alarm Type 31). This can activate any siren type and dial-out just like any other Alarm Type. This almost eliminates the possibility of hacking into the system by outsiders. To previous page

Responses and Actions

Increased from 99 to 127 to cater for programming functions and the KomPad. More Action codes have been added to give greater programming capabilities.

Event Log

Increased from 100 to 125. Select 3 for Next Day and 4 for Previous Day for easier navigation through the Event Log. To previous page

Cellular Phone Access

Better rejection of Double Beeps, i.e. single keypress causing double entry (2 beeps) while using cellular phones for remote access. To previous page

Surge Immunity

Better immunity to lightning-related surges causing the voice menu to stop working.

Infrared Codes

Up to 25 IR codes can be stored in the system, increased to 16, and 544 bytes, increased from 350.

Two Way X10

X10 codes can be received via the X10 Two way interface. X10 wall switches or x10 controllers can be used to control Comfort by triggering any of the 127 Responses. To previous page

Home Control Feedback

Inputs can be assigned to provide status feedback (on/off) on the Home Control Menu

Reminder Messages Dial to Phones

Reminder Messages may be assigned to Mailboxes, which in turn can be forwarded to any of the programmed phones. To previous page

Technical Details

Arming and Disarming

  1. "Home Mode" is changed to "Security Off" to avoid confusion with the term Home Mode which on other systems refers to a partly armed mode. U7 should be marked E5B.
  2. New Security Mode - Day Mode. Zone Types settings include Day Mode setting, so each zone type is specified for Security Off, Away, Night, and Day. In Day mode, all interior zones (Zone Type 5) as well as Alert and Perimeter zones are inactive. There is a Day Mode Response and Ring Count for Day Mode. Vacation Mode response and Ring count is now the same as Away Mode
  3. 3 arming modes in Location 1692: 0=Final Door arm (present and preferred method), 1=Arm after exit delay, 2 = Exit Terminator (UK only)
  4. Entry path zones are announced on exit during arming
  5. Entry Path zones do not go into event log during arming and disarming
  6. During arming, when the main door is closed, and another zone is open, do Arm Fail alarm instead of zone announcement. Arm Fail alarm will turn on the siren to be more like other security systems. To previous page

Voice Station and Door Station

  1. Door Station and Voice Station time-out increased to 90 seconds, but any key can interrupt, 7 to open door (if Location 52 is programmed). Mode will not time-out if conversation direction changes
  2. In Doorphone or Voice station mode, hang-up of remote phone can be detected for dialout.
  3. If doorbell and 24 hour zones are activated while user is using the telephone, they will not be announced on the telephone, but will be announced on the KomPad.
  4. Door Station dial out- no need to sign in to save time
  5. Action 96 to record message from doorphone (instead of dialout)
  6. Location 1691 for Doorbell Response replacing Doorbell Zone Response (as zone is not used)
  7. Siren will not be heard on Keypad or Door Station if AC is off and external siren is on, to prevent battery drain during power failure
  8. No need to sign in when dialing out for Door Station. To previous page

User Codes and Authorisation

  1. User codes changed. Key arm = 90 (was 16). Response arm = 91 (was 17) for display on pager and event log (PC)

  3. When onboard tamper alarm is activated in Security check, the tamper alarm is activated after exit from security check
  4. Sign-in Tamper alarm (Alarm Type 31) if wrong sign in code 6 times in succession. 1st correct code must be signed in twice to clear sign in tamper.
  5. Sequence of red/green leds after reset or power on for diagnosis: After reset, both leds on. If Internal memory is ok, red led off. If Voice & vocab ok, green led off. If EEPROM version is ok, green led turns on again.
  6. Class codes for Contact ID format are now associated with the Alarm Types and not Non-detector alarms To previous page
